Throat paints are viscous liquid preparations used for mouth and throat infections Glycerin is commonly used as a base because being viscous it adheres to mucous membrane for a long period and it possesses a sweet taste . 

IODINE PAINT COMPOUND (MANDL S PAINT ) B.P.C. 

Potassium iodide  25.0 g 

Iodine     12 .5 g 

Alcohol (90%)  40.0 ml 

water 25.0 ml 

Peppermint oil  4.0 ml 

Glycerin to produce  1000.0 ml 

    Dissolve the potassium iodide in water Add the iodine and stir until completely dissolved Dissolve peppermint oil in alcohol 90% in a small container and then transfer it into the iodine solution mix well Add glycerin and mix thoroughly Add more of glycerin to make the required volume The preparation is to be stored in a cool place since iodine is volatile in nature .

थ्रोट पेंट चिपचिपे लिक्विड होते हैं जिनका इस्तेमाल मुंह और गले के इन्फेक्शन के लिए किया जाता है। ग्लिसरीन का इस्तेमाल आमतौर पर बेस के तौर पर किया जाता है क्योंकि यह चिपचिपा होने के कारण लंबे समय तक म्यूकस मेम्ब्रेन से चिपका रहता है और इसका स्वाद मीठा होता है।

आयोडीन पेंट कंपाउंड (मैंडल एस पेंट) B.P.C.

पोटैशियम आयोडाइड 25.0 g

आयोडीन 12.5 g

अल्कोहल (90%) 40.0 ml

पानी 25.0 ml

पेपरमिंट ऑयल 4.0 ml

ग्लिसरीन 1000.0 ml बनाने के लिए

पोटैशियम आयोडाइड को पानी में घोलें। आयोडीन डालें और पूरी तरह घुलने तक मिलाएँ। एक छोटे कंटेनर में पेपरमिंट ऑयल को 90% अल्कोहल में घोलें और फिर इसे आयोडीन सॉल्यूशन में डालकर अच्छी तरह मिलाएँ। ग्लिसरीन डालें और अच्छी तरह मिलाएँ। ज़रूरी मात्रा बनाने के लिए और ग्लिसरीन डालें। इस तैयारी को ठंडी जगह पर रखना है क्योंकि आयोडीन वोलाटाइल होता है।
