EYE LOTIONS

 EYE LOTIONS  :: 

These are the aqueous solutions used for washing the eyes The eye lotions are supplied in concentrated form and are required to be diluted with warm water immediately before use Eye lotions should be isotonic and free from foreign particles to avoid irritation to the eye They are required to be prepared afresh and should not be stored for more than two days as the lotion may get contaminated with microorganisms Two examples of eye lotion are given below : 

SODIUM CHLORIDE EYE LOTION 

Sodium chloride  9 g 

Purified water to produce  1000 ml 

SODIUM BICARBONATE EYE LOTION 

Sodium bicarbonate  35 g 

Purified water to produce  1000 ml

आई लोशन ::

ये पानी वाले सॉल्यूशन हैं जिनका इस्तेमाल आंखें धोने के लिए किया जाता है। आई लोशन गाढ़े रूप में मिलते हैं और इस्तेमाल से ठीक पहले इन्हें गर्म पानी में मिलाकर पतला करना ज़रूरी है। आई लोशन आइसोटोनिक होने चाहिए और उनमें बाहरी कण नहीं होने चाहिए ताकि आंखों में जलन न हो। इन्हें नए सिरे से बनाना ज़रूरी है और इन्हें दो दिन से ज़्यादा स्टोर नहीं करना चाहिए क्योंकि लोशन माइक्रोऑर्गेनिज्म से खराब हो सकता है। आई लोशन के दो उदाहरण नीचे दिए गए हैं:

सोडियम क्लोराइड आई लोशन

सोडियम क्लोराइड 9 g

1000 ml बनाने के लिए साफ़ पानी

सोडियम बाइकार्बोनेट आई लोशन

सोडियम बाइकार्बोनेट 35 g

1000 ml बनाने के लिए साफ़ पानी
