Official titles ::
Unless otherwise mentioned it means the title by which it appears in the indian pharmacopoeia any other pharmacopoeia or standard books The drugs of outstanding therapeutic nalue are standardised in the national pharmacopoeias of which about forty are published at intervals by different countries in the world
In the first edition of indian pharmacopoeia (1955) all official titles were in latin while in the second and subsequent edition official titles are given in english

आधिकारिक शीर्षक:
जब तक अन्यथा उल्लेख न किया गया हो, इसका अर्थ है वह शीर्षक जिसके द्वारा यह भारतीय औषधकोश या किसी अन्य औषधकोश या मानक पुस्तकों में दिखाई देता है। चिकित्सीय औषधीय गुणों को राष्ट्रीय फार्माकोपिया में मानकीकृत किया गया है, जिनमें से लगभग चालीस को दुनिया के विभिन्न देशों द्वारा अंतराल पर प्रकाशित किया जाता है। भारतीय फार्माकोपिया (1955) के पहले संस्करण में सभी आधिकारिक शीर्षक लैटिन में थे, जबकि दूसरे और बाद के संस्करण में आधिकारिक शीर्षक अंग्रेजी में दिए गए हैं।
