Cultivation and Collection ::
This is a drought - resistant species and can be propagated by seeds and cuttings As the plant blooms throughout the year the collections of seeds is not difficult The plant requires very little irrigation and can hence be raised as off - season crop The cultivation is done in june -july in India and first crop of leaves is ready in November Harvesting is done 2 to 3 times a year The seeds are collected and plant is uprooted in February Depending upon the type of soil and amount of irrigation about 700 to 1000 kg of leaves per hectare are collected Leaves are thoroughly dried and sent to the market Roots are washed dried and marketed .

खेती और कलेक्शन ::
यह सूखा झेलने वाली प्रजाति है और इसे बीज और कटिंग से उगाया जा सकता है। क्योंकि पौधा पूरे साल खिलता है, इसलिए बीज इकट्ठा करना मुश्किल नहीं है। पौधे को बहुत कम सिंचाई की ज़रूरत होती है और इसलिए इसे ऑफ-सीज़न फसल के तौर पर उगाया जा सकता है। भारत में इसकी खेती जून-जुलाई में की जाती है और पत्तियों की पहली फसल नवंबर में तैयार हो जाती है। साल में 2 से 3 बार कटाई की जाती है। बीज इकट्ठा किए जाते हैं और पौधा फरवरी में उखाड़ दिया जाता है। मिट्टी के टाइप और सिंचाई की मात्रा के आधार पर प्रति हेक्टेयर लगभग 700 से 1000 kg पत्तियां इकट्ठा की जाती हैं। पत्तियों को अच्छी तरह सुखाकर बाज़ार भेजा जाता है। जड़ों को धोकर सुखाया जाता है और बेचा जाता है।
